Abstract

The database of the family Picea A. Dietr. taxons that reside in the collection of the National Botanical Gardens, was created using ODBC Microsoft. The table is the main part of the database structure. The database includes four tables “Sections”, “Types", “Taxons" and “Plants”. A request should be formed to search and select the specified data types. Special forms are used for the data viewing, typing and editing right in the Table. To analyze and to print the given type of information there exists the report mechanism. The created database contains information about 3 sections, 17 types, 51 taxons and 226 plants that are accounted for in the NBG collection.
