Abstract

The experience of growing plants from subfamily Opuntioideae K. Sch. in the open air on the Southern Coast of the Crimea has been described. The frost resistance of 16 species has been evaluated. The promising species were selected among them. The relation between the frost resistance, general availability of water in tissue and the osmotic potential value of cell sop has been established.
